Meet Cinda Stevens Lonsway

Cinda Stevens Lonsway

Cinda Stevens Lonsway has passion for writing, storytelling and speaking about the truths she’s discovered as a woman. Being a daughter, friend, student, employee, volunteer, traveler, hostess, wife, and mother, Cinda writes of these experiences to empower readers.

She also works as a spiritual counselor, workshop facilitator and speaker. A profound source of joy for Cinda is speaking with women who’ve awakened to their spiritual calling and seek spiritual guidance, counseling, and validation.

In 2017, Cinda published her memoir, I Know Now…A Woman’s Healing: Violence to Victory, Trauma to Truth. Having fought off an attacker at the age of 19, she writes of her experience suppressing the trauma, suffering the memories when they’d resurface, and finally breaking down to the point of discovering a process of healing that is still going on every day. The importance of her memoir is significant at this time in history, when women are finding a new ability to stand up for themselves, speak their truths in the face of misogyny and disrespect, and rely on the power of their own intuitive senses.

In 2008, Cinda had an opportunity to speak with Oprah Winfrey and Eckhart Tolle in the first-ever worldwide show webcast in honor of his book, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose (2005). She asked Eckhart: “When you say ‘evolve or die,’ do you mean that literally?” His answer was affirmative. In that moment, Cinda dedicated her life to the evolution of her spirit, and has assisted others to evolve.

Since then, she’s created multiple workshops that support the spiritual growth of all individuals. In 2010, during a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Cinda penned “ROAR!,” a powerful rhythmic call to action for women, and posted it on  social media. After it went viral, Cinda offered to teach all those eager to find their voice, and to “roar” against all injustice, including that against planet Earth.

Cinda lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, two adult sons, a Golden Retriever, and a high-maintenance cat. She is now writing nonfiction, novels and stories for children.
